There's a nice article
here in the
Guardian about the re-issues of
Stella Gibbons' novels just out in the U.K. and available in Canada next month. These include two "sequels" to the delightful
Cold Comfort Farm. Apparently, Virginia Woolf was enraged that the novel won the Prix Étranger when it was published in 1932. I'm particularly looking forward to reading
Westwood, a novel set in London during the Second World War and featuring a bookish woman. The best news from this article is that there are 14 more re-issues to come over the next few seasons!
